My Second Blog: New Year's Commitment Rather Than A Resolution

Philippians 3:13-14
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Every year, we make New Years Resolutions. Resolutions are known to be made, but never fulfilled. We make resolutions like we're going to lose weight and go to the gym; lay aside on the drinks and not over-intoxicate ourselves; not going to defile our bodies; one other resolution that we make a promise is that we're going to attend church more and be faithful to the Lord. All resolutions is nothing but promises that we propose and it takes an act of the house and senates of our hearts and conscience to amend them into action. However, All God desires of us is to make a Commitment. As we go forward this year, let us make commitments and not a resolutions. The commitments that we need to make in 2011 are commitments that will keep us closer to God and in our walk with God.

As we commit ourselves to our commitments, let us remember to Released the Past and Press Forward, Remained Focused and keep your eyes on the Prize, and Remember your Calling in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore continue in the faith of God.
